Chapter 65 - Future Prediction

An antique, mystic looking house is right infront of Rize's eyes.

Rize: This must be the famous Fortune Teller house!

As he opens the door and stepped inside the house, it was a dim room lighted with fire from candles. Antique staffs could be seen everywhere which gave the essence of uncanny and mystical aura around the place. At the edge of the room, an old woman with a wrinkled face, long silver coloured hair wearing a long clean white robe welcomed Rize with a deep and low bass tone of voice.

Fortune Lady:  Welcome young boy, what should I predict for you? Future? Career? Soul mate? Ask me anything, I'll answer if I could.

Rize: " This old lady gets even scarier when she speaks! Is she really a woman? " Ehm, my name's Rize. Let's start from my career as a Pokemon Trainer then.

The Fortune Lady took a closer look on Rize and told Rize of the prediction that she have read.

Fortune Lady: You will be a famous and successful Pokemon Trainer that many people look upon to and become inspiration to others. Due to your skills and abilities in battling, your job will involves in traveling to many different places, seek and catch is what I can see.

Rize: Whoa, how bout my future then?

Fortune Lady: You will have everything you could ever wanted by early age however it will not last long and you will lost everything as you will be facing a formidable giant!

Rize: What? What do you mean by that?!
Fortune Lady: That's all I am able to see from you, I can't see it very clearly as it is too cloudy and hard to see. I am not God who knows everything, I am also a human. Is there anything else you want me to predict for you?

Rize: Well, I guess that's it then..

Fortune Lady: Now that will be P$100,000 per prediction and it will be P$200,000 for you.  heehee..

Rize was shocked to hear that he have to pay that much amount of money as he only have P$3000 with him. The Fortune Lady then told him that since he can't afford to pay, she asked him to get something for her. It was non other than  the sacred legendary flame of Moltres which what the legend says could be obtain at the top peak of Mt.Ember at Knot Island.

Fortune Lady: Be sure to be back with the thing by next week and don't even plan to escape from me as I can find and sue you anytime.. heeheehee...

Rize: No way! How do I know you're even telling the truth? You're just making up stories and tell people good stuffs about them so that your customer will be delighted and pay the amount with ease.

The old lady smiled and replied Rize. She read another prediction for him free of charge for tomorrow which is what Pokemon he will face on his first battle. If her prediction came true, then Rize have to agree and get the sacred legendary flame and if things are the opposite then Rize will be set free from the payment and the order. Rize agreed to that propose and immediately stepped out from the fortune teller house and contacted Ryussei to meet up.

Fortune Lady: Huhu, never I thought of meeting with the chosen one this early..

Rize have been able to reached Ryussei and they meet up somewhere on the Fortune Island and he told him everything of what the Fortune Lady told him.

Ryussei: I told you it was just a piece of crap! Now you got yourself into trouble! Climbing to the top of Mt.Ember is not an easy task that children of our age could do.

Rize: It's alright, we are different! Besides if it is really just a piece of crap like you said then her prediction will not come true and I will be free from the contract.

Ryussei have nothing to say anymore and both of them returned to Quest Island and prepare for the match tomorrow. The long peaceful night quickly come to an end, the sun rises and the long waited time which is 12 noon have come. Rize's battle opponent have come and apparently his first battle opponent was not his own friend, Ryussei.

Rize: " If what that old lady is true, this guy is going to sent out an Onix. Let's place our bet then! "
Rize sent out his Poliwrath to prepare the match with the Rock Snake Pokemon, Onix, and the prediction from the old lady really came true and the opponent sent out the Rock Snake Pokemon to battle. Rize thought that it might be just a coincidence. As he have the advantage over his opponent, he beated Onix in a fast and easy pace and here comes the next Pokemon. Again as the old lady have predicted the opponent sent out a Magneton. Rize continued the match with his Poliwrath. The opponent attacked mercilessly with a powerful Electric type move Zap Canon. As Zap Canon have a low accuracy level, Poliwrath managed to dodge every shot of it and countered with Water Pulse. His opponent was getting frustrated.

Opponent: Magneton use Lock-On!

The Magneton took aim on Poliwrath and fired another Zap Canon attack, due to Lock-On effect, Poliwrath was unable to avoid the attack and was heavily injured. Not only that but it became paralysed as well due to the secondary effect of Zap Canon. Responding to the situation Rize immediately commanded Poliwrath to use Hypnosis and put Magneton to sleep and finished it off with Wake Up Slap and knocked Magneton out of battle. The opponent gets even more frustrated and sent out his last Pokemon which is something new to Rize just as the old lady have predicted. He was then convinced of the old lady's ability in predicting the future.




" Parasect the Mushroom Pokemon and the evolved form of Paras. It is a Bug and Grass type. It is controlled by a mushroom grown larger than the bug body. It is said to prefer damp places and scatters poisonous spores. "

Judging from Poliwrath's condition it and type matching it certainly will not be able to win so it is called back to its ball. Rize sent out his altered shiny colour Pidgeot into battle due to type advantage.

Opponent: Parasect use Stun Spore!!
Rize: Counter it with Gust attack!

Parasect scattered its Stun Spore attack but it was pushed back with Pidgeot's Gust attack. Not only it took the Gust attack but it also took its own remedy and became paralyzed. With enthusiasm Rize told Pidgeot to give the finishing blow with Aerial Ace and it striked Parasect hard. However, surprisingly the Parasect was still in the battle even tough it is very weak to Flying type attack, not only that, Pidgeot seems to be in pain and it was poisoned due to Parasect special ability called Effect Spore which gives a probability of making the opponent a sleep, poison or paralyzed status if it made physical contact with it.

Opponent: You're not careful enough! The table have turned! Parasect go use Giga Drain!
Just when Parasect was about to attack, it couldn't move due to its paralysis and the attack failed. Rize took this chance and ordered Pidgeot to use Air Cutter and finished Parasect off from the match once and for all and Rize proceeded to the 2nd round. Not long after that, Ryussei have finished his match and successfully defeated his opponent and proceed to the 2nd round as well.

Chapter 64 - Quest Island and Fortune Island!

                                                             
Announcement: The SeaGallop Ferry will be arriving shortly to our last destination, the Quest Island. All remaining passengers please be prepared to alight on this island. Thank you for travelling with SeaGallop Ferry service.

Rize and Ryussei finally arrived to their destination which is the Quest Island. They went straight to search for the famous Battle Tower where every Trainer from around the world gather and compete with each other.

Rize: Look at how tall this Battle Tower is!
Ryussei: And in order to conquer the Battle Tower, one have to reach the highest floor and defeat all participants. That's way too much!
Rize: Anyway let's enter and register right away!

So both Rize and Ryussei registered themselves in the Battle Tower competition. The system there are 150 floors and each floors there are 14 Trainers divided into two groups to compete each day. Only seven Trainers would proceed to the next floor and so on until they have reached the 150th floor and finally those seven Trainer that made it to the top will have to battle each other until there is only one and only victorious Trainer. Rize and Ryussei registered under different group with each other so that they could meet and battle even before reaching the 150th floor. Since they just registered today, their match was scheduled to be tomorrow at 12 noon.

Ryussei: There's nothing on this island except this Battle Tower and those weird ruins. You're not interested in going to those ruins are you?
Rize: Actually I would like to but it seems that you're not interested so why don't we just go to the next island nearby..
Ryussei: The SeaGallop Ferry will not be coming and available until tomorrow, how are we going to go?
Rize: Come on.. we have Pokemon to rely on! We can Fly through the air or Surf through the water!
Ryussei: You're right! Dewgong on the water!

" Dewgong the Sea Lion Pokemon and the evolved form of Seel. It is a Water and Ice type. In snow, the pure white coat covering its body obscures it from predators. "

Rize: First time seeing this Pokemon! So you chose to Surf eh? I chose to Fly! " Since I didn't have my Gyarados with me." Pidgeot on the air!

They both traveled to the next island nearby which is the Fortune Island. It is named Fortune Island due to the fact that there is a famous family that is able to read and predict a person's future generation by generation. It is the most accurate fortune telling in the world and many people visit the island just to get their future predicted.

Ryussei: We've arrived, now what?
Rize: According to the map given by Prof.Oak, this island is famous for its fortune telling! I'm curious about this and wanna try it out myself! Aren't you just as curious??
Ryussei: ... It's a complete waste of time! I'm not interested at all.
Rize: Aren't you curious? Don't you wanna know whether you will become the Champion or not??
Ryussei: ...
Rize: Fine then, I'll go by my own.

Just when they arrived to Fortune Island, Rize and Ryussei parted ways. Rize went to search for the famous Fortune Teller while Ryussei went around the island to search for Pokemon and some training.

Chapter 63 - Rize vs Lorelei of the Elite 4!

The crowd: She defeated him!! Whoaa who is she??

Just when the crowd started to be noisy and talked about the mysterious strong female trainer, Ryussei came to the scene and came to Rize.

Ryussei: I got bored in my room afterall, so what's all these big commotions? Is there someone really strong there?
Rize: That woman, she defeated a man who have kept his winning streak up to more than 10 wins and she defeated him with ease.

Ryussei take a look on the female trainer and immediately his facial expression changed. Sweats started to roll down his cheeks.
Rize: What's with you? You know that woman?
Ryussei: ...! She's Lorelei from one of the Elite 4! I can't believe I got to see her here!
Rize: Elite 4!! No wonder she's so strong! "Anybody here is free to challenge her! This is an opportunity!"
Ryussei: Hey hey.. what are you doing?
Without thinking much, Rize stepped up on to the battle field and challenged Lorelei to a battle.
Rize: I challenge you Lorelei!
The crowd: Aaah!! She's Lorelei! Lorelei from the Elite 4! What's someone like her doing in a place like this??
Lorelei: Boy.. how old are you? You sure got a huge confident in challenging me despite knowing of my identity.
Rize: Not like I care, this is a very rare opportunity to battle someone as strong as you!
Lorelei: I like your thinking, come! Jynx, it's sliding time!

Rize: "She switched Pokemon!"

" Jynx the Human Shape Pokemon and the evolved form of Smoochum. Its cries sound like human speech. However, it is impossible to tell what it is trying to say. It is a dual type of Ice and Psychic. "

The crowd: Hey that boy sure don't know his place for challenging one of the Elite 4! Let's see what he got and how far he can go! I'm sure he will be defeated in less than 10 seconds!
Ryussei: " Rize.. I can't understand him! He don't stand a chance! "
Rize: " Ice and Psychic.. I gotta bring out my best! I'll try to win this! " Charizard it's non other than you!
The fire dragon like Pokemon came out from its Pokeball and breath its fire from its mouth.
The crowd: Whoaa.. who would've thought such a kid have a Charizard with him! This battle might be interesting! Come on kid show us what you got!

Lorelei: After you..
Rize: Alright! We gotta strike hard with the first attack! Charizard Flamethrower!
Charizard opened up its fiery mouth and fired a flamethrower attack.
Lorelei: Blizzard!
Lorelei's Jynx blew a powerful Blizzard attack and clashed with the Flamethrower attack. As Fire and Ice clashed, the Ice evaporated and became water vapours that devours the flame and thus Charizard's Flamethrower attack fails to hit its target. The crowd went all out and get fired up with the match.
Rize: How could fire can't devour the ice?!
Ryussei: The ice power is too strong that even Charizard's Flamethrower can't beat it in terms of power. That's jusr how powerful the Elite 4 is!
Lorelei: Calm Mind now!
Jynx calmed itself using Calm Mind and increased its special attack and special defense stats.
Rize: Charizard let's get close to it! Aerial Ace!
Charizard flew up and attacked Jynx with a high speed Aerial Ace attack and land a hit on Jynx. However Jynx looks completely fine wherelse Charizard went down and fell asleep.
Rize: What happened?!
Lorelei: When Charizard attacked, my Jynx used Lovely Kiss on it and made it fall asleep
Rize: What?! Charizard Snap out of it! Wake up!
Lorelei: Dream Eater!
Jynx used Dream Eater attack and attacked the sleeping Charizard. Charizard looks to be in pain in its sleep and Jynx keep sucking away its energy.
Lorelei: Let me tell this straight to you, you're no good. You've no strategy and just attack randomly, your Pokemon's level is not high enough too. Just as expected from an average boy like you. Give it up.. it's over.
Rize: Match not over until my Pokemon's knocked out! Charizard!! Open your eyes!!
Somehow, Rize's voice travelled and pierced into Charizard's nightmare and woke it up. The awaken Charizard was burning in its Blaze ability and its fire power increased by folds!
Lorelei: Impossible!
Rize: Alright! We'll show you how hot our fire can be! Charizard use Overheat!
Charizard went all out and fired its most powerful Overheat attack and striked a direct hit on Jynx.
The crowd: Whoaa!! Go boy! That should do it!
After the flames cleared out, unexpectedly, Jynx was still standing despite of its heavy injuries and burn stats. Rize and Charizard was shocked to see that their opponent have not been defeated yet after their most powerful attack in their arsenal has been used.
Lorelei: Jynx finish this with Blizzard!

Jynx fired an Ice Beam attack and Charizard was knocked out by it thus making it clear that Rize have lost the match.
Lorelei: I take back my words on you, you're pretty good to be able to  inflict this much damage on my Jynx! But don't get carried away, you still have a long long way to go boy!
Rize: I'll remember your words! Thanks for battling me Ms.Lorelei!
Even tough he lost the battle, the spectators watching the battle gave him a big round of applause for a sign of appreaciation for his courage and efforts for giving a good battle against an Elite 4 member. Lorelei then alighted at Floe Island while Rize and Ryussei continue their journey to Quest Island.
Rize: Let's get something to eat for our lunch! This ship must have lots of good foods!
Ryussei: Yea. " Rize sure was something to challenge one of the Elite 4 boldly like that, what if it was me? I'm not sure myself.."

Chapter 62 - Strong Trainer in the SeaGallop Battle Arena.

The smell of the fresh sea of Vermillion city, Rize and Ryussei board on the first trip of the day of the SeaGallop Ferry on 6:00 A.M sharp.

The SeaGallop ferry is a luxurious ship, each passengers was provided their own individual private resting room. It have lots of other facilities as well such as casinos, swimming pools, restaurants, bars, sports room and ofcourse a battle arena where Trainers gathered from all over on the ship can test their abilities among each other in battles. However, Rize did not know about the facilities until 5 hours later..

Rize: The trip will still take another 7 hour! I'm so excited and can't wait! How can I just stand here and do nothing! I'm going to the battle arena and battle every strong opponent out there!
Ryussei: I'll stay in my room..
Rize went to the battle arena alone. When he reached there, a battle was just over and the victor was boasting over his victory with his Pokemon that Rize never see before.

" Pinsir the Stag Beetle Pokemon. It is a Bug type. It grips prey with its pincers until the prey is torn in half. What it can't tear, it tosses far. "

Man with Pinsir: Come on! Isn't there anybody good enough to beat me here? I've won over 10 continous battle streak now! Someone stop me please.. hahaha
Rize: " 10 continous victory! He must be good! Alright, as long as I take extra caution on those pincers."
Just before Rize could step up to the battle field and challenge the boasting man, a woman has stepped up to the battle field earlier before him.

The crowd: Will that woman be able to defeat that man??
Man with Pinsir: You sure got guts for challenging me woman! But I won't go easy just because you're a female! Come on bring out your Pokemon!
Female Trainer: Closyter go!


Rize: " Wow! She got some powerful scary looking Pokemon! "

" Cloyster the Bivalve Pokemon and the evolved form of Shellder. It is a Water and Ice type. It fights by keeping its shell tightly shut for protection and by shooting spikes to repel foes. "

Man with Pinsir: Let's break that shell and wipe out that jerk smile! Pinsir use Megahorn!
Female Trainer: Iron Defense!
Pinsir attacked Cloyster with Megahorn attack but Closyter hid itself inside its hard shell and used Iron Defense. Pinsir was then ordered to keep attacking using Megahorn and Cloyster just kept on hiding as well.
Man with Pinsir: Heheheh, give it up.. even tough your Cloyster hid itself and used Iron Defense, it keep on losing its health, it will not be long until it is unable to battle!
Female Trainer: Speak to yourself, look at your Pinsir's condition!
Pinsir's pincer cracked and it stopped attacking as it is badly hurt and in pain.
Man with Pinsir: What?!
Female Trainer: It's over! Cloyster Ice Shard!
Cloyster shot a powerful canon like attack which consists of sharp ice shards and knocked out Pinsir instantly.

Rize: She's so powerful! Just who is she?!

Chapter 61 - To Sevii Islands!

It's been a day after Rize and Ryussei went to the power plant and met with Zapdos. Now they are back at Prof.Oak's place in Pallet town.

Prof.Oak: Very nice both of you! I didn't even order any of you but yet you guys managed to solve the mystery behind the black out! Not only that, you boys also encountered with the legendary bird Pokemon Zapdos!
Rize: Yeah! It was really a magnificent Pokemon!
Prof.Oak: Now.. it's still the start of October, and the Pokemon League Competition is still at the end of the year. Since you boys have already collected all the badges required, what are you gonna do now?
Rize: Ofcourse! Training until time arrives and explore places that I still haven't explored yet in Kanto!
Ryussei: I doubt there's any more places to explore here in Kanto.. I think we must've explored them all.
Prof.Oak: Hahaha.. I like that spirit of yours Rize! Ryussei, that's untrue! Kanto is a big place, you have not went to the Sevii Island have you?
Ryussei: Sevii Islands?
Prof.Oak: Right! Sevii Islands are seven small islands located south-west from the mainland of Kanto region. They are not so popular even among locals in Kanto. The population there is not many as well thus making the islands pretty peaceful. However, there are interesting places such as Mt.Ember where it is said to be the resting place of the other legendary bird Pokemon, Moltres!
Rize&Ryussei: Moltres?!
Rize: Alright! Let's go to Sevii Islands then! But how do we get there?
Prof.Oak: You need a very expensive ticket to sail on the SeaGalop Ferry there which is the Tri Pass and the Rainbow Pass. It costed for about P$100,000. and for the Rainbow Pass it's P$200,000.
Rize: That would be P$300,000! Where on earth could I earn that much money!!
Prof.Oak: Hahaha not to worry Rize.. I already have these Passes for you and Ryussei here! It's a token prize for solving the power plant incident from the Pokemon Association! Here take these Passes and these are the maps of the Sevii Islands.

Rize: Wow! Thanks alot Proffesor! Really appreciate it!
Prof.Oak: There are details and informations of each islands at the back of the map so you can choose which island to visit first. Make sure you boys catch more Pokemon from there for me to research on okay! Hahaha..
Ryussei: There's something he want out of this afterall..
Rize: Anyway we'll be going now, see you next time Prof!
Prof.Oak: Becareful.. Best Wishes for you boys!
Rize and Ryussei immediately took off and fly towards Vermillion City where they will board the SeaGalop Ferry at the Vermillion Harbor Port.

Chapter 60 - Taking Care of Zapdos!

" Zapdos the Electric Pokemon, it is an Electric and Flying type. Zapdos is a legendary Pokemon that is said to live in thunderclouds. It freely controls lightning bolts. This legendary bird Pokemon causes savage thunderstorms by flapping its glittering wings. "

Rize: What's a legendary bird Pokemon doing here?!
Ryussei: The Pokedex said that it lived in thunderclouds tough..
Rize: I think it still hadn't realized our presence!
Ryussei observed the Zapdos more carefully and noticed that it is terribly injured and it is resting using the move Roost to recover and absorbs electricity from the power plant to speed up its recovery.
Rize: I get it! This Zapdos must be the one causing the black out by draining all of the electricity power for itself!
Ryussei: Right! If we want to restore the electricity back to normal that means..
Rize: Are you planning to catch it?!
Ryussei paused and seems to be thinking over what Rize have said.
Ryussei: No! Catching a legendary Pokemon is no easy task! Even under its current condition, it can still finish us both and destroy this whole place at once if it will! We will end up dead and destroyed the power plant!
Rize: Alright, I got it.. so what are we suppose to do then?
Ryussei: You hold the key to this! Use your Jolteon and fire its Thunder attack towards Zapdos! Your Jolteon is now overcharged due to absorbing the Electric moves earlier right?
Rize: Are you crazy?! You want me to attack Zapdos?! Didn't you just said we have to avoid making it angry?!
Ryussei: Just trust me on this..
Rize: Alright! I think i get what you mean! Jolteon use Thunder towards Zapdos!

Jolteon striked its Thunder attack towards Zapdos and Zapdos absorbed the Thunder attack and recovering faster.
Ryussei: Right! Zapdos' special ability is Lightning Rod which will absorbs any Electric type moves and powered up itself!

Zapdos became aware of their presence but it did not feel any harm from them and just stay there keep absorbing the Thunder attack from Jolteon and keep its calm. After receiving enough electric power from Jolteon, it stopped using its Lightning Rod ability, looked towards Rize and Ryussei for a moment21t3e then flapped its glittering wings and flew off from the power plant building. As Zapdos is no longer consuming the electricity from the power plant, the electricity can now flow normally to the whole Kanto region as usual and the electricity was regenerated. Rize gave a call to Prof.Oak to report on what have happened.

Rize: Phew.. We managed to bring back the electricity and help Zapdos recover from its injury! I guess we really didn't come here for nothin!
Ryussei: Yeah! It was so fortunate of us! But still.. I'm still wondering.. who or what could have caused Zapdos the legendary bird Pokemon such terrible injuries like that?? Something must have happened!
Rize: I wonder what was that..
