Chapter 94 - Round 6! vs Satoshi!

The very next day after Rize have defeated his own friend Ryussei and proceeded to the 6th round, he then faced with his other friend, Satoshi. It's an even more challenging opponent for him as Satoshi was known to be one of the strongest participant in the League and with all his reputations as well. Satoshi have been winning all his previous matches with flying colours with using as few Pokemon as possible.


"Now here comes the 6th round of our Kanto Intermediate League Tournament! This is going to be a very exciting match folks! Stay tune!"

The referee then indicated his line then commanded the two Trainers to sent out their first Pokemon. It was Sandslash from Rize and Snorlax from Satoshi.

"Tch! I thought he'd use his Pikachu. I didn't know Satoshi have a Snorlax." Rize then start to observe the huge fat sleeping Pokemon and he speculated that this Snorlax was more powerful and trained better then Ryussei's Snorlax. It was much bigger and its attitude in battle is different. It also have a different expression on its eyes and face."Sandslash let's win this!"
"We can't let our guard down Snorlax. He is a Trainer who defeated Shigeru after all." Satoshi warned Snorlax and took cautious heed against Rize. It looks like Rize have earned some respect from Satoshi ever since Rize defeated his rival, Shigeru.
"Let's go, Rize! Give me all you got!"
"You don't have to tell me that, Sandslash use Swords Dance!"

Having raised its own physical attack with Swords Dance, Sandslash was ready to battle with all it have.

"I see you wanted to go all out. We too then! Snorlax, Belly Drum!"

Snorlax start beating its own belly like a drum hard and it inflicted quite a damage on itself but its physical power was increased into its highest potential. There need to be a sacrifice to acquire something after all.

"Sandslash use Sand Tomb!"

Sands started to spin and whirling around Snorlax. Snorlax was engulfed by a tornado consisted of sands and it was trapped and the sands kept hurting it all the way during the battle until it subsided. Snorlax struggled so much in the vortex of sands, it can't open its eyes and mouth as well as sands could come into them. Its eyes and mouths were full of sands. Snorlax pretty much like to eat anything but not sands.

"Now use Metal Claw!"

With a swift dash, Sandslash put everything it have on its Metal Claw attack and strike on Snorlax's belly. Snorlax was pushed back and fell down hard onto the ground.

"Snorlax is unable to battle. Sandslash wins!"
"Incredible! The battle have just started but Trainer Rize have scored 1 point by defeating Trainer Satoshi's big and strong Snorlax!"

Satoshi was silent of its loss for a moment then recalled his fainted Snorlax into its Pokeball. He then smiled and laugh. A laugh full of excitement. "It's rare to battle a strong Trainer. This is really going to be fun! You're better than I thought Rize!" He then turn his hat backwards. It is a habit of his to turn his hat backwards whenever he became serious in battle. "Pidgeot, I choose you!"

"Sandslash would be troubled battling an opponent that could fly. Sandslash return for now." Rize recalled back his Sandslash and took out an Ultra Ball that was readied to be thrown. "An aerial battle between two Pidgeot will be interesting. Pidgeot go get that Pidgeot!" The Ultra Ball was thrown and it was opened on the air A different coloured Pidgeot came out with shiny glitters that made the whole spectator in the stadium amazed.

"Wow! Look at that Pidgeot all Pokemon fans! Its golden in colour! That's the coolest Pidgeot I ever seen! Just where did Trainer Rize got that majestic looking Pidgeot?? Trainer Rize sure have lot of surprises for us!"
"So that's the result of being lab experimented by Team Rocket but will it be a match for my Pidgeot?"

Rize confidently answered with a direct attack of Air Cutter. Blades of air were flying directing towards Satoshi's Pidgeot. Satoshi calmly reacted to the attack. "Pidgeot use Air Slash!"

Satoshi's Pidgeot flapped its huge wings and created a force that slashed through the air sharper than Air Cutter. It was as if a sharp blade of air flew like a thrown javelin and it cut through Rize's Pidgeot's Air Cutter. Rize's Pidgeot got hit by the Air Slash attack and the damage was quite remarkable.

"What move's that?! It's much stronger than Air Cutter. We definitely gotta learn that move! Pidgeot you okay?"

Pidgeot got back up to show Rize that it's okay and able to continue the battle. "Alright then, Aerial Ace!" Pidgeot immediately confounded Satoshi's Pidgeot with incredible speed then slashed it. Its speed was so fast that Satoshi's Pidgeot do not have the time to react and dodge.

"What speed!" Satoshi was so surprised of Rize's Pidgeot's speed and he almost could not believe it.
"Yeah and it was thanks to Team Rocket's experiment result as well that raised its speed."
"Pidgeot, Sky Attack!"

Satoshi's Pidgeot flew up high to the sky higher then Rize's Pidgeot position and dived down and strike it with incredible speed and power. It was engulfed and cloaked with wind pressure.

"If we can't dodge it we have to attack back! Taste this, its a move that we prepared and mastered just for this Kanto League. Pidgeot use Hyper Beam!"

Flashing scarlet beam was shot from Rize's Pidgeot's mouth and Satoshi's Pidgeot which was charging towards it could not dodge it but instead took the hit heads on and it was knocked down to the ground by the Hyper Beam.

"Satoshi's Pidgeot is unable to battle. Rize's Pidgeot wins!"
"Incredible! Not only it is a different colour Pidgeot but it is also on a league of its own! Now Trainer Rize have scored 2 points while Trainer Satoshi was still 0."

"Yes!" Rize got even more confident of beating Satoshi and proceed to the final round. Satoshi returned his fainted bird Pokemon into its ball.

"You did your best, now take a good rest pal." Satoshi's Pikachu was concerned of his performance. "Pika pi.."

"Don't worry Pikachu, we're going to be just fine." He then reached to his belt and took a Pokeball and threw it to the battle ground. "Charizard. I choose you!"

Seeing that Satoshi have sent out a Charizard, Rize recalled back his Pidgeot into its ball. "Then I choose Charizard as well!"

"Ooh! Once again it's a battle between two same kind Pokemon. This is going to be an intense hot battle!"
"It looks like we have quite a common interest in choosing and catching Pokemon huh?" Satoshi commented on Rize.
"Was that a compliment or what? Haha.. Let's continue with our battle!"
"Yeah! Charizard use Flamethrower!"
"We'll use Flamethrower too!"

So both fire breathing lizard but dragon like Pokemon breathed their Flamethrower attack that clashed and made an intense burning heat to the surrounding of the stadium until the spectators could feel the heat from their seats.
