Chapter 11 - The Beautiful Aquatic Cereluan City!

The next day after the incidents on Mt.Moon, Rize have arrived into the next destination which is the Cereluan City. Cereluan City is famous to be one of the most beautiful city in Kanto due to its beutiful public water stream which attracted people and tourist. It also become a romantic place for couples. But what is Rize doing now?
Rize: Pidgeotto finish it with Quick Attack!
Pidgeotto used Quick Attack on its opponent which is also a bird Pokemon and knocked it out.

Youngster E: Ah Spearow noo!!
Youngster A: Incredible you defeated the 5 of us with just 4 Pokemon! You might be able to defeat the Gym Leader of Cereluan City!
Rize: That's my intention of coming here in the first place!
Rize knew that the Cereluan Gym is a Water type Gym so he intended to go fishing on the public water stream to find Water type Pokemon to catch.
Rize: Gee.. all these couples are making me awkward fishing here. It seems they're not so happy of my presence too! Ah a bite!
A water Pokemon fell for the bait and came out of the water surface and it's a tiny little tadpole Pokemon.

Rize checked his Pokedex the new Pokemon he encountered.

" Poliwag the tadpole Pokemon. It is a Water type. Its skin is so thin, its internal organs are visible. It has trouble walking on its newly grown feet. "

Rize: Poliwag! This looks like a fine water Pokemon! Bulbasaur go use Razor Leaf!
The Poliwag dived into the water and avoided the Razor Leaf attack.
Rize: "It's getting away! If only I have an electric Pokemon I can zap it from the outside! Gotta lure it out of the water first!" Pidgeotto use Whirlwind to the water!
Pidgeotto used Whirlwind and stirred the water into a spinning tornado of water and the Poliwag is forced to come out of the water.
Rize: Bulbasaur use Vine Whip and grab it here!
Bulbasaur used its Vine and grabbed Poliwag into the land.
Rize: Allright Bullet Seed!
Poliwag was hit by Bulbasaur's Bullet Seed!
Rize hurried and threw the Pokeball and succesfully captured the Poliwag. The crowds watched him catching the Poliwag and gave him around of applause. However, it looks like the other wild Pokemon that lives in the water stream is angry due to Rize making a mess in their home. The school of fish Pokemon attacked!

" Goldeen the Goldfish Pokemon. It is a Water type. It swims at a steady five knots. It swims elegantly by flittering its tail fin as if it were a dress. It has the look of a queen. If it senses danger, it will strike back with its sharp horn. "

Rize: Oh no! I created a trouble!
Suddenly a young lady stepped in and defeated the whole school of Goldeen with her starfish looking Pokemon with a single Swift attack.


Rize: Incredible! She's so strong!

" Starmie the Mysterious Pokemon. It is a Water and Psychic  type. At the centre of its body is a red core. It glows in a different color each time it is seen. "

Crowd: Ofcourse! Just as expected from our City's Gym Leader!
Rize: Gym Leader?! So you're the Cereluan's Gym Leader?!
Misty: Yup! The name's Misty but I'm the Gym Leader for the Open Category level.
Rize: The name's Rize! Allright! I'm just about to challenge your Gym!
Misty: I see.. well good luck then! We'll be waiting for you at the Gym!
Rize met with the Cereluan City's Gym Leader and he's going to make his challenge! Next is a Gym Battle!

Chapter 10 - Safe the Clefairys! Defeat Team Rocket!

Resuming from the last chapter, Rize is about to meddle into Team Rocket's action.
Hiker Anthonio: What do you think you're doing?! You'll be captured by them too!
Rize: They're nothing! I beat their other members in the past and send them to prisons! Charmander Flamethrower them!
Charmander used its Flamethrower attack to Team Rocket.

Rocket Grunt: What?! Who's there?! Who the hell dare to mess with us?!
Rize stepped out with all his Pokemon by his side! But there are about 12 rocket grunts that he have to face!
Rocket Grunt: What's this! It's just a little teenager trying to be a hero! Raticate go Crunch them!

" Raticate the Mouse Pokemon and the evolved form of Rattata. It is a Normal type. Raticate whittles its constantly growing fangs by gnawing on hard things. It can chew apart cinder walls. "

Raticate moved in a lightning speed and used Crunch on Charmander.
Hiker Anthonio: Tch! I didn't see anything! I'm outta here!
Hiker Anthonio fled leaving Rize facing the whole Rocket Grunts by himself.
Rize: "What a coward for being a hiker!" Bulbasaur use Vine Whip and help Charmander!
Bulbasaur hit Raticate with Vine Whip and freed Charmander from its bite.
Rocket Grunt: Go everybody! Attack him all at once!
About 5 Rocket Grunts sent out Koffing the poison gas Pokemon.

Rocket Grunts: Poison Gas!!
The whole Koffings used Poison Gas together and filled the air with poisonous gas.
Rize: Poison Gas?! Pidgeotto use Whirlwind to clear the air!
Pidgeotto unleashed a strong Whirlwind and cleared the air from the Poison Gas.
Rocket Grunts: Damn it! Ekans go!

Another 5 Rocket Grunts sent out their Pokemon and this time it's Ekans the Snake Pokemon.
The whole gangs of Ekans and Koffings attacked Charmander, Bulbasaur and Pidgeotto and they're all are seriously injured and Rize was bind up by the Ekans.
Rocket Grunt: Hahaha! Now what can you do?! Stupid fool! Look! Who owned such a miserable Pokemon! Ah I know! I'll kill this weak useless Metapod right infront of your eyes first! Raticate use Crunch!
Raticate used Crunch on Metapod and Metapod's shell began to crack!
Rize: Metapod noooo!!!
Rocket Grunt: Hahahhaha!!!
Metapod's shell began to crack wide but a completely different Pokemon came out of it and flew up high to the sky!

Rize: It evolved!
Rocket Grunt: Tch! It's just a Butterfree! Ekans and Koffings attack!!
The newly evolved Butterfree used its new move Sleep Powder and put the whole Ekans, Koffings and Raticate to sleep.
Rocket Grunt: Noo!! Gang! Wear your mask to prevent the Sleep Powder or any other of its Powdery attack to affect us!
The Rocket Grunts wore their masks to protect them from Butterfree's Sleep Powder.
Rocket Grunt: Even without our Pokemon we can still finish you! We are adults and you're outnumbered! We can use physical force!
Rize: Ughh!!
Suddenly!
???: Onix go and bind them all!

A huge rock snake Pokemon binded  the whole Rocket Grunts with its big body.
Rocket Grunts: Nooo!! Damn it!!
Rize: Anthonio!!

" Onix the Rock Snake Pokemon and the pre-evolved form of Steelix. It is a Rock and Ground type. When it travels underground, it causes rumbling and tremors. It can move at 50 mph. "

Hiker Anthonio: Haha there's no way I'll leave you facing them alone! I'm waiting for the perfect moment to attack secretly.
Rize: I thought you really ran away back then!
The Clefaiy group thanked Rize and Anthony for saving them and went back to hide further inside the mountain.
Hiker Anthony: I'll take care of them and send them to the police! You go ahead!
And so Rize went down the mountain as dawn is approaching heads to Cereluan City leaving the whole Rocket Grunts with Hiker Anthony.

Chapter 9 - Clefairy's Secret Ritual Dance on Mt.Moon!

The other day, Rize have successfully earned his first Kanto Gym badge and now he is about to leave Pewter City and go to the next Gym. However, before he leaves he wanted to visit the Pokemon Museum first. Unfortunately..
Rize: What's all these crowds infront of the museum??
Police: The Museum is temporarily closed for investigation! All of the Pokemon Fossils in the museum have been stolen!
Knowing that the Museum have closed Rize left Pewter City and went to famous mountain in Kanto which is the Mt.Moon.

???: Hey! A young man on adventure eh? I'm a Hiker, the name's Anthonio. So you like to hike the mountains?
Rize: Err.. not really actually.. I just want to go to Cereluan City through this mountain.
Hiker Anthonio: What?! What a shame you don't like hiking the mountain!
Rize: I prefer a Pokemon Battle! It's much more fun!
Hiker Anthonio: So are you aiming to be the Champion? Haha let's see what you got! We Hikers are good in battling too!
Rize: Caterpie go!
Rize plan to use Caterpie to train it in real battle but wait that is not Caterpie that came out from the Pokeball.

Rize: Eh?? That's not a Caterpie! Could id be?



" Metapod the cocoon Pokemon and the evolved form of Caterpie. It is a Bug type. A steel-hard shell protects its tender body. It quietly endures hardships while awaiting evolution. "

Rize: Ahh! Metapod the evolve form of Caterpie! Must have evolved inside the Pokeball! Haha I didn't even notice about that.
Hiker Anthonio: Are you sure you wanna use that Pokemon? In that state Metapod can't battle! It can't move!
Rize: Well then Metapod just stay here and watch! Pidgeotto go!
Hiker Anthonio: That's more likely to battle! Geodude go!

" Geodude the Rock Pokemon and the pre-evolved form of Graveler. It is a Rock and Ground type. It is impossible to distinguish from rocks. It slams against others in contest of hardness. "

Rize: Pidgeotto go use Gust attack and blow it away!
Pidgeotto used Gust but Geodude seems to be unaffected and it didn't move at all from its spot.
Hiker Anthonio: Hahaha you want to blow away my Geodude? Geodude use Rock Slide!
Geodude threw lots of rocks on Pidgeotto and Pidgeotto lost the battle.
Hiker Anthonio: Hahaha you plan on becoming the champion like that?! Come on let's climb this Mt.Moon together! You'll be far stronger if you climb this mountain!
Rize: What's that have to do with Pokemon Battles anyway?!
Hiker Anthonio: Just follow me! I feel lonely climbing mountains by myself for 5 years! Just treat this as a penalty for losing the battle with me just now!
Rize have no choice but to climb the Mt.Moon together with Hiker Anthony.
Rize: pant* pant* how far is the mountain?!
Hiker Anthony: You're tired already?! Young people these days! It's a little bit more come on!
And at last they made it to the peak of Mt.Moon in the night.
Rize: Whew.. at last... I can get a rest..
Hiker Anthonio: Where's your Metapod boy? Send it out from its Pokeball!
Rize: Eh? Why?
Hiker Anthonio: Bug Pokemon evolves fast! Do you want to miss your Metapod evolving momment? It will be a sight to see!
Rize sent out Metapod from its Pokeball. Suddenly a group of wild Pokemon appeared and started to dance like ritual.
Hiker Anthonio: Come here quick! Don't let them notice that we're here!
Rize: What are those Pokemon?

" Clefairy the Fairy Pokemon and the evolved form of Cleffa. It is a Normal type. It is said that happiness will come to those who see a gathering of Clefairy dancing under a full moon. "

Hiker Anthonio: Duhh..They are Clefairy! How in the world you didn't know them?
Rize: Well excuse me! I'm not a local from this region!
They watched the beautiful dance of Clefairy under the moonlight in the night and the weather is so calm and peaceful. Suddenly the peaceful momment was gone! A group of men in Black uniforms appeared and started to kidnap the Clefairys!
Rize: Team Rocket?! They're here?!
It was non other than the old enemy Team Rocket! What will happen next?! Will Rize be able to stop Team Rocket from kidnapping the Clefairys?!

Chapter 8 - Pewter Gym battle! Break the Solid Rock Defense!

The next day, Rize have came out from the Viridian Forest and arrived to Pewter City! Pewter City have a Pokemon Gym which is a Rock type Pokemon Gym! And Rize is about to have the battle for his first Kanto Badge!
Referee: The Pokemon Gym match between Rize the challenger and Rocky the Gym Leader is about to begin! It's a 2 on 2 Pokemon battle! Trainers begin!
Rocky: Graveler go!

Rize used his Pokedex to find out about Graveler.

" Graveler the Rock Pokemon. It is a Rock and Ground type. It rolls on mountain paths to move. Once it builds momentum, no Pokemon can stop it without difficulty. It eats a ton of rocks daily. "

Rize: This time I'm going to win! Bulbasaur go!
Rocky: Hahaha! Are you able to break through our solid rock defense? Come! Attack us from any angle!
Rize: Bulbasaur use Vine Whip!
Bulbasaur used Vine Whip and attacked Graveler but Graveler barely felt the hit.
Rocky: Weak! Graveler use Rock Blast!
Graveler used Rock Blast and fired lots of Rocks to Bulbasaur!
Rize: Bulbasaur stay strong! Use Bullet Seed!
Bulbasaur used Bullet Seed and destroyed the rocks from Rock Blast to tiny pieces and hit Graveler.
Rocky: Haha! And? Nothing can break trough my Graveler's defense! Wha.. what?!
Graveler is knocked out from the Bullet Seed as its body have lots of cracks.
Referee: Graveler is unable to battle! Bulbasaur wins!
Rocky: You got me off guard! Now Rhyhorn go!

" Rhyhorn the Spikes Pokemon. It is a Ground and Rock type. Rhyhorn's body is clad in a thick hide, and its tackles topples buildings. Unfortunately it is not smart. It doesn't care if there is anything in its way. It just charges and destroys all obstacles. "

Rocky: Rhyhorn use Horn Attack!
Rhyhorn charged and hit Bulbasaur with Horn Attack!
Rize: Bulbasaur use Razor Leaf!
Sharp leafs like a cutting razors went flying and pierced onto Rhyhorn but altough it was extremely effective, Rhyhorn's rock armor was still hard enough to protect it from fatal damage.

Rocky: Haha! Now use Megahorn!
Rize: It's dangerous! Dodge it!
Bulbasaur dodged Rhyhorn's Megahorn attack as Rhyhorn's speed is slow.
Rize: Leech Seed!
Bulbasaur planted a seed that grows into vine that keep sucking Rhyhorn's energy.
Rocky: Damn you cheater! Megahorn!
This time Bulbasaur got hit by Megahorn and knocked out.
Referee: Bulbasaur's knocked out! Rhyhorn wins!
But the leech seed keeps sucking Rhyhorn's energy.
Rize: Charmander finish it!
Rocky: Are you kidding? Using a Fire type against a Rock type?! Go use Rock Blast!
Rhyhorn tried to fire Rock Blast but it looks like it is running out of energy to use it.
Rize: Charmander Metal Claw!(Charmander learned Metal Claw)
Rhyhorn was hit hard with Metal Claw.
Rize: How's that?! It looks like the Leech Seed is troubling you huh? I'll get it off for you!
Rocky: Yes please!
Rize: Charmander Flamethrower!(Charmander improved Ember and now is Flamethrower)
Rhyhorn was burned with Flamethrower along with the Leech Seed and the Leech Seed is gone but Rhyhorn is already knocked out.
Referee: Rhyhorn lost! Charmander wins! Rize the challenger wins the match!
Rocky: I can't believe I lost!

Brock: Nice battle! Here take the Medium Boulder Badge to prove your victory of this Gym!
Rize: Thanks! This is my first Gym badge in Kanto!

Rize have got himself his first Kanto Gym badge which is the Boulder badge. What Gym is next?

Chapter 7 - Leave the Caterpie alone!

The next day, still in Viridian Forest,  Rize have got enough training and decided to leave the forest and look for the exit. On the way out he saw a wild Bulbasaur.

" Bulbasaur the Seed Pokemon. It is a Grass and Poison type. Bulbasaur can be seen napping in bright sunlight. There is a seed on its back. By soaking up the sun's rays, the seed grows progressively larger. "

Rize: Wow! A wild Bulbasaur! This is my chance! I always wanted to have one since at Prof.Oak's Lab! Charmander go!
The wild Bulbasaur noticed Rize and Charmander and fled.
Rize: Hey wait! You're not going anywhere!
Rize chased the wild Bulbasaur but lost track of it.
Rize: Damn! Where did that Bulbasaur ran off to? Pidgeotto help me search Bulbasaur from the air!
Rize kept searching for the Bulbasaur and end up to seeing something else. A group of yellow coloured Bug type Pokemon seems to be surrounding and picking on another Bug type Pokemon but a green coloured worm.



" Weedle the Hairy Pokemon. It is a Bug and Poison type. Weedle often found in forests and grasslands, eating leafs. It has a sharp, toxic barb of around two inches on top of its head. "

" Caterpie the Worm Pokemon. It is a Bug type. It is covered with a green skin. When it grows, it sheds the skin, cover itself with silk, and becomes a cocoon. Its short feet are tipped with suction pad that enable it to tirelessly climb slopes and walls. "

Rize: The Weedles are picking on the little Caterpie! Hey knock it off! Leave the Caterpie alone!
The Weedle attacked Rize with Poison Sting attack and stopped Rize from coming near them.
Rize: You leave me no choice! Charmander go scare them using Ember attack!
The Weedle sees the fire from Charmander's Ember and fled away and Rize approached the injured Caterpie and treated its wound.
Rize: What a poor little thing.. Being bullied like that.
The group of Weedle went back to their nest and reported to their brothers which is the evolved form Kakuna.

The Kakunas becomes angry from the Weedles' story and evolved into Beedrills. The Swarm of Beedrills then went to attack Rize!

" Beedrill the Poison Bee Pokemon and the evolved form of Kakuna. It is Bug and Poison type. Beedrill is extremely territorial. No one should ever approach its nest. If angered, it will attack in a furious swarm. It flies at high speed and attacks using the large venomous stingers on its forelegs and tail. "

Rize: Whoaa!! Swarm of Beedrills are attacking to us!!
Rize took the Caterpie along with him and ran but the Beedrill keep chasing them.
Rize: "Charmander wouldn't be able to fight all of them! If Pidgeotto came back it can use Whirlwind on them and blew them away! But Pidgeotto's not back yet!"
Rize ended up in a dead end and have no choice but to fight them all!
Rize: Oh no! We got no choice! Charmander go use Ember attack!
The Beedrill stopped their attacks upon seeing Charmander blasting Ember attack but some of them keep attacking from the sides of Charmander with Twineedle attack. Suddenly the wild Bulbasaur appeared and help drived the Beedrills attacking Charmander away with its Vine Whip attack.
Rize: Bulbasaur! "Since Bulbasaur is here Pidgeotto might be back soon!"
Pidgeotto came back and now on Rize side to fight the swarm of Beedrill!
Rize: Allright let's use our combination attack we practiced so hard yesterday Charmander and Pidgeotto! Ember and Gust attack!
The combination of the fire and the wind made the fire spread bigger and stronger and the Beedrills that got hit was knocked out and the rest of them realized the danger of it and fled away.
Rize: Allright we did it! Thanks to help from all of you! Bulbasaur do you want to come with us? We are going to travel around the region! It will be so much  fun!
Bulbasaur saw Rize as a Trainer with a sense of justice protecting the weaks agreed to go along with him and since the Caterpie will not be safe in the forest due to the Beedrills and Weedles might come and attack it again, Rize decided take it too and now he got 2 new members in his team!

Chapter 6 - Get over! New Burning Spirits!

Continuing from the last chapter where Rize met with Satoshi and right now they are chasing a Fearow that stole his Pokemon Egg.
Satoshi: I'll bring the Fearow down! You take care of the Egg! Make sure you catch it!
Rize: Got it!
Satoshi: Pikachu go use Thunder Wave on Fearow's wings!

Fearow's wings were jolted by Pikachu's Thunder Wave and fell down due to not being able to fly anymore but the Pokemon Egg fell too.
Rize: I'll get you safely Pokemon Egg!!
Rize caught the falling Pokemon Egg and secured it inside his bag.
Satoshi: Yes you made it! But it's not over yet!
The Fearow is angry and attacked Rize!
Satoshi: From here on you're on your own! Go beat the Fearow!
Rize: Right! Pidgey go use Quick Attack!
The Fearow was hit with Quick Attack but countered Pidgey with Drill Peck and Pidgey is seriously injured.
Rize: Pidgey!!
Pidgey with its strong and courage, still determined to take down Fearow begin to glow and evolved!

Satoshi: Awesome! Your Pidgey evolved into Pidgeotto!

" Pidgeotto the Bird Pokemon and the evolved form of Pidgey. It is a Normal and Flying type. Pidgeotto has outstanding vision. However high it flies, it is able to distinguish the movements of its prey. "

Rize: Allright!
Pidgeotto flapped its wings and blew a strong Whirlwind and blasted Fearow away.
Rize: You did it Pidgeotto! Great!
Satoshi: You see.. everything's comes from the mind! Once you overcome your fear and negative thougths you will proceed into a new level! I know that you're dissapointed about the broken Transfer Link System that you cannot get your Pokemon to be sent here but don't use that as an excuse, if you're a good Trainer no matter what condition you're in you will be able to win even with new Pokemon! You just have to develop your bond with them and train them and apply a useful strategy in battles! Power is not everything too!
Rize: Yes! I understand now! Thank you! Charmander, Pidgeotto, I'm so sorry for being to harshed and blaming you for my own fault. Now let's become stronger together!
Charmander and Pidgeotto hugged Rize and accepted Rize's offer.
Rize: Your Pikachu's strong too! You must be a good Trainer! By the way I'm Rize! How do you know that I'm upset about the Transfer Link System being broken down?
Satoshi: Haha yes ofcourse! Pikachu is my number 1 partner!

" Pikachu the Mouse Pokemon and the evolved form of Pichu. It is an Electric type. Pikachu lives in forest with others. It stores electricity in the pouches in its cheeks. If it looses crackling power from the electric pouches on its cheeks, it is being wary. This intelligent Pokemon roasts hard berries with electricity to make them tender enough to eat. "

Satoshi: Oh I knew about you from Prof.Oak! Haha I'm also a Trainer under Prof.Oak. He is worried about you so he assigned me to look for you! You're the Runner up of last year's Johto Jr.League right? I'm also the Runner up of Kanto Jr.League last two years ago.
Rize: Really! No wonder your Pikachu's so strong! Anyway let's get going now!
Satoshi: You go ahead, I'm planning to stay a bit longer in this forest!
Rize: I see! Ok! Thanks once again! I hope we can have a battle one day!
Satoshi: That day will definitely come! I'm waiting!
Rize parted way with his new friend Satoshi. With new burning spirits Rize will be stronger than ever! How much stronger can he get?

Chapter 5 - Fear of Fearow! Get the Pokemon Egg back!

After losing terribly in Viridian Gym, Rize's confidence seems to be crashed and destroyed and he began to procrasinate and even blame his own new Pokemon for the defeat.
Rize: " Damn it! I can't keep losing like this! Ever since I came to Kanto I have been losing all my battles! If only I have my other Pokemon and not these weaklings!" Look here! We lost yesterday because you are not good! You are weak!!
Charmander and Pidgey upon hearing that from Rize become so upset and disappointed of their new Trainer.
Rize: We're going to train hard in the Viridian Forest! The forest is full of Bug and Grass type Pokemon so it should be a good practice for you two!
So Rize went into the Viridian Forest to train his Pokemon.

A wild Pokemon appear to be idling in the grass area.

Rize: A Pokemon!

" Rattata the Mouse Pokemon. It is a Normal type. Rattata eats anything. Wherever there is food available, it will settle down and produce offspring continuously. "

Rattata the mouse Pokemon! Charmander go get it! Scratch attack!
The wild Rattata swiftly dodged Charmander's attack and used Quick Attack on Charmander!
Rize: What's wrong?! You can't even defeat a weak small Pokemon like that?!
Charmander become discouraged and the wild Rattata attack again with another Quick Attack and Charmander is knocked out and the wild Rattata fled.
Rize: Look! You're really useless! How can you lost to a Pokemon like that?! Are you really a Starter Pokemon from Prof.Oak?! I guess I chose the wrong Pokemon! I should have not picked you!
Charmander began to cry in tears and someone came up to Rize upon hearing his complains.

???: What kind of Trainer are you! Blaming and scolding your own Pokemon for your own defeat!
Rize: Who are you anyway?!
Satoshi: I'm Satoshi! Do you know that you are destroying your own Pokemon from that harsh complains?! It's your fault for that defeat! Not the Pokemon's fault!
Rize: What do you know about me?! If only I got my other stronger Pokemon right now I would not have lost against that Rattata! And the Viridian Gym too! Hopefully this Pokemon Egg will hatch into a strong Pokemon!
Suddenly something from above snatched Rize's Pokemon Egg and flew away.

Rize: What?! What's that bird Pokemon?!

" Fearow the Beak Pokemon. It is a Normal and Flying type. Fearow has the stamina to keep flying all day on its broad wings. It fights by using its sharp beaks. "

Satoshi: It's a Fearow! And a big one too! Hurry up we gotta get your Pokemon Egg back!
Rize: But how?! It's flying up high and getting away! I don't have a strong enough Pokemon to chase it! My little Pidgey won't be a match with that big Fearow!


Pidgey without being ordered took the initiative, flew and chase the Fearow bravely despite of their difference in size! Fearow seeing it being chased use a Wing Attack on Pidgey and Pidgey fell down to the ground.
